I am an experienced journalist writing for titles including the Financial Times, where I worked as a part-time freelance commissioning editor between 2018 and 2022. I am a versatile writer but particularly enjoy working on features and interviews covering arts topics, heritage, design, jewellery and watches. Click to view my articles for the FT here and examples from across my portfolio here.

I like looking at topics from different angles, whether going behind the scenes with the timing team at the Wold Athletics Championships and textile conservators working on 16th-century tapestries, delving into niche areas of collecting such as coin watches, or giving cold-water swimming a go.

Favourite past assignments include interviewing former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright about her brooch collection for the FT and covering the 2012 Paralympic Games for The Independent on Sunday.

My detailed research has made an impact: following the Grenfell Tower tragedy, national media outlets covered my earlier Freedom of Information request investigation for Inside Housing magazine that had exposed the lack of sprinklers in council towers blocks. This research was mentioned in parliament during Prime Minister’s Questions.

Outside of work, I enjoy going to the theatre, museums and galleries, long walks, playing tennis and watching other sports.
