I am an experienced and versatile freelance journalist based in London. I write for national newspapers, magazines and trade titles; my work appears in publications such as The Financial Times, The Times, The Daily Telegraph, Inside Housing and The Architects’ Journal.
A former Independent on Sunday reporter, I write news stories, features and interviews on a wide range of subjects, although I am particularly interested in arts, culture and heritage topics.
I regularly interview high profile figures. I spoke to the former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Kiss drummer Eric Singer for The Financial Times about their collecting of jewellery and watches, and got tennis player Laura Robson to open up about her injury problems for The Independent on Sunday.
I have also made an impact with my investigations and detailed research. Following the Grenfell Tower tragedy, many national media outlets covered my earlier Freedom of Information request investigation exposing the lack of sprinklers in council towers blocks. This research into fire safety was also mentioned in parliament during Prime Minister’s Questions.
